Welcome to a different kind of record company. It's really not so much a company as it is an experiment. An experiment with no pretense or promises. An experiment with economics. An experiment with music.

I don't want to over-explain it. The concept is simple. The label is called NUMERO, the series is called Limited Addition. It's not a series of records; instead, several records that have been serialized. It's not a club. No membership is required to purchase anything. There is no guarantee that when we release a record you will even be able to find it. Some might have a pressing of 2000, another only 100. One might be carried in stores, another may only be available on tour. Some will come only in issues of Stop Smiling magazine, another may be available at a specific event or only in one town. Hey, it's an uncertain world (For those that need a little certainty in their life [take some risks already], you will be able to buy all the records at LimitedAddition.com until they go out of print).

The music is even simpler. All the bands are hand-picked by certified record geeks for maximum nerdification. We're talking the cream of the cool. The hippest of the hip replacements. A mixture of artists you've already heard, and artists you'll be hearing about soon. Double A-sides seasoned with outtakes, unreleased cuts, obscure B-sides, and session alternates.

In short, NUMERO is a record company run by collectors for collectors. We've taken cues from the cryptic and avant Actuel label and thrown them together with the aesthetics that Chess, Atlantic, and Sun propagated almost 50 years ago. If you own significant portions of any of those catalogs, we salute you.
